The Rolling Stones have ended their 31 year relationship with EMI for an "exclusive, long-term, worldwide" record deal with music giant Universal.
The new deal means they will handle all future Rolling Stone releases, as well as have control over their extensive back catalogue. Universal said it was looking to "reposition their entire catalogue for the digital age".
Universal's Polydor label will handle future recordings.
In a statement, the band said: "Universal are forward thinking, creative and hands-on music people. We really look forward to working with them."
