All 180,000 tickets of Oasis' upcoming UK tour sold out within one hour of going on sale yesterday (August 20th).
Fans jammed the phonelines and internet in order to get the tickets, but obviously many were left empty handed. Tickets are now being snapped up on ebay for prices of £100 upwards.
A spokesperson for Oasis said: "The demand for tickets this morning was just immense. All the ticket sites slowed down severely but nothing crashed and the system worked very smoothly. We want to thank the fans for their patience and look forward to seeing you all at the shows."
The band will release their new studio album 'Dig Out Your Souls' on October 6th. The first single taken from the album 'The Shock of the Lightning' will be released on September 29th.
