bbc.co.uk are reporting that the free McFly album give-away on the cover of this past weekends  The Mail on Sunday newspaper helped raise sales figures by over 300,000 copies.
Early figures reveal that 2.4 million copies were sold on Sunday, which was packaged with McFly's new album Radio:ACTIVE.
Though impressive, sales have failed to match the papers extra 600,000 sales generated from Prince's "Planet Earth" album giveaway last year.
A deluxe version of the album - which will feature four new songs - will be released in stores in September.
Mail on Sunday managing director Stephen Marlin said he was "very proud".
